BUY sqlShark
Subscription
An initial purchase of sqlShark includes a one-year subscription, which may be renewed yearly at 50% of the then current new-license price. Subscriptions include customer support, maintenance and upgrades to sqlShark. When a subscription expires, the monitoring aspects of sqlShark will lock down unless re-activated using the renewed license key. However, upon a lockdown the user can still work with the SQL interface and analyze the existing and already captured data indefinetly.
Subscriptions can only be renewed upon expiry. Upon renewal, the new expiration date is extended one year beyond the current date, regardless of when the license is renewed.Pricing
sqlShark is priced on the basis of the number of database instances a customer would like to monitor. Each license qualifies for a single installation and
that installation can monitor multiple database instances (depending upon the purchased license key). Each license allows one user to monitor X instances at a time.
The license is bound to a Named User and is not transferable, unless the employee leaves the company. In simple words, 1 License = 1 User = 1 Machine\Installation.
Following illustrations should be of help:-
- If you have 10,000 users with 1 instance each to monitor, you would be required to purchase 10,000 licenses (each enabled with a Single instance monitoring capability).
- If you have 1 user with 10,000 instances but he\she monitors only 1 instance at a time then you would be required to purchase 1 license (enabled with a Single instance monitoring capability).
- If you have 1 user with 10,000 instances and he\she monitors all at the same time, then you would be required to purchase 10,000 licenses (enabled with a Single instance monitoring capability) or proportionate number of licenses depending upon the monitoring capability each license carries (for example, you may purchase 1000 licenses where each license has a capability to monitor 10 instances).
